Arm Lift


Fluctuations in weight, growing older, and heredity can cause your upper arms to have a drooping, sagging appearance. This is a condition that cannot be corrected through exercise. Arm lift surgery may be right for you if the underside of your upper arms are sagging or appear loose and full due to excess skin and fat.

Arm Lift

Only a plastic surgeon can decide if you are a good candidate for arm lift surgery. Sometimes liposuction is a more appropriate choice. An arm lift is best if there is lots of loose skin present on the upper arm.

Liposuction is better if there is lots of fat on the upper arm but the skin is relatively tight.

The most frequent alterations in the contour of the arms are flaccidity and accumulate of fat in the internal face them, being much more frequent in the feminine sex. 

The flaccidity of the internal face of the arm has diverse causes: family bias, important loss of weight, lingering abandonment of sport activities or aging. 

ANESTHESIA: It anesthetizes regional (blockade) and sedation, or low sedation and local anesthesia. 

SURGERY: A mark is carried out in form of "L  lying”  at level of the internal face of the arm, drying up the biggest quantity possible of skin and fat.  

DURATION: Between two and three hours.  

HOSPITALIZATION: One day. 

POSTOPERATIVE CARES: It use of a special bandage for four weeks, to avoid movements with the arms for 7 days, not to carry out physical exercise until after the first month.  

RECOVERY: Around 14 days. 

FINAL RESULT: 1 and a half month.
